Running your own Bitcoin node means you no longer have to trust anyone to check your balance or send your transactions. The Start9 Server One 2026 makes that simple: a small, quiet box that sits next to your router at home and is controlled from your browser. No command line, no loose parts, just plug in and install.
What's new in the Server One 2026?
The 2026 edition is the successor to the Server One 6600H. The difference is mainly under the hood:
- Faster processor: the AMD Ryzen 7 6800H has 8 cores and 16 threads, versus 6 cores in the 6600H. You notice it during the first blockchain sync and when running many apps at once.
- Faster memory: 16 GB LPDDR5 at 6400 MT/s instead of DDR4.
- Plenty of storage as standard: 4 TB NVMe SSD. Enough for the full blockchain, a Lightning node and years of your own files.
What can you run on it?
Through the Start9 Marketplace you install open-source services in a few clicks, including:
- Bitcoin: a full node (Bitcoin Core or Knots) that wallets like Sparrow connect to directly
- Lightning: your own Lightning node for fast, low-cost payments
- BTCPay Server: accept bitcoin in your own web shop or store, without a middleman
- Your own cloud: files, photos and passwords on your own server instead of at a big tech company
How to get started
- Connect the Server One to power and to your router with a network cable.
- Open the StartOS setup page in your browser and follow the steps.
- Install Bitcoin and let it download the blockchain. That takes a few days, once; after that your node keeps itself up to date.
Server One 2026 or 6600H?
If you mainly want a Bitcoin node and few extras, the Server One 6600H with 2 TB is an affordable choice. If you want room to grow, run more apps at once or simply the fastest version, choose the 2026. Not sure? Send us a message and we will help you decide.
Delivery
We deliver the Server One 2026 through our official Start9 partner in Europe. Allow 1 to 2 weeks for delivery. StartOS updates are free.
Frequently asked questions
Do I need technical knowledge?
No. Everything runs through a web interface in your browser. If you can connect a router and install an app, you can do this too.
How much power does it use?
Very little. It is a mini PC with an efficient laptop processor, built to run day and night.
Can I connect my existing wallet?
Yes. Sparrow and other wallets that can work with your own node connect to your Server One. That way you check your balance and transactions without relying on someone else's server.
