Using the included engraving pen and center punch, you engrave letters into a 316 stainless steel plate. Laser-printed markings indicate where to engrave; the center punch helps with precision positioning. The result is a permanent, indelible character in steel. No external tools required.

Does a 24-word seed fit? Yes. Use the first four letters of each BIP39 word; they are unique enough for recovery. The Seedfan Steel Kit works with 12- and 24-word seeds.
