The Uncommunist Manifesto was written by Aleks Svetski and Mark Moss as a reply to the Communist Manifesto by Marx and Engels. This is the English softcover. If you prefer German, there is Das UNkommunistische Manifest.
What is The Uncommunist Manifesto about?
The book starts from a few questions: why does an idea with such a long record of failure still attract so many young people, and what makes the original manifesto so contagious almost two centuries later? The authors separate the accurate observations in the original text from the conclusions that, in their view, ignore human psychology and praxeology.
Svetski and Moss follow the form and length of the Communist Manifesto, so it is short and clearly written. Marx and Engels described a struggle between two classes, divided by wealth. The authors put the emphasis on individual responsibility and on each person improving themselves.
